In this opening sequence, there are a variety of camera shots, angles and movement. The first camera movement is a high angle crane shot which allows the producer to present the scene at which the whole series would be taking place; we know this because the name of the TV series is 'Prison break' which shows the events would be taking place at a prison. The two shots after that are a medium close up of a tattoo and someone's face followed by two medium shots of the main protagonists; The use of extreme close ups of an eye and origami are also presented. Close ups are used to draw focus to these shots which could also imply a small part of the narrative. A worms-eye angle is also incorporated when the camera focuses on the leg cuffs as the inmate walks towards the camera. Another high angle is then used as the main protagonist is jumping from the gate; this angle shows the audience that he is dominant and dangerous. The opening sequence ends with a zoom out tracking shot which shows the main character being looked up in a jail cell with a grim look on his face. This also adds to the narrative being presented to the audience within the opening sequence.

Orange is the New Black:

In the opening sequence of this American TV show it shows extreme close ups of the lips, eyes and noses of random and different types people and including some of the people that are actors for the show. The extreme close ups makes it very mysterious. Furthermore, when the video views the lady with the handcuffs it kind of shows a spill of emotion.

The opening scene of Forrest Gump starts with a tracking shot of a feather which is slowly floating down the sky. The feather then proceeds to land on multiple people which is interrupted by their movement or movement around them, multiple shots such as birds eye views of people show the feather trying to land and close ups of cars to show the disturbance in the city. The feather finally lands next to someone with extremely dirty shoes which is shown by a close up. The fact the feather is a peaceful object and its attempt to find a peaceful environment finally lands which tells the audience that the protagonist of this movie is a calm and peaceful person suggested by the feather. A pan upwards when the protagonist picks up the feather finally shows the audience the face of the main character and hints to the audience what type of person he is.

The camera work in this opening scene of Forrest Gump is very professionally done as we see a tracking shot used that follows the feather of the bird slowly dropping onto the streets. This shot is then transformed into a close up shot of the protagonist as the feather falls onto him. This shot was done very specifically to introduce a calm peaceful scene which sets and lays out the type of movie this film is going to be. A birds eye view shot is also shown and used with the tracking shot to set out and show the environment this film is going to be set in. The birds eye view shows the audience the atmosphere in this environment and how everyone is getting on with their daily lives which eventually leads and shows the main protagonist who stands out compared to everyone else in the city as he is calm and seems to be in a peaceful mind set.
