The advantages of this is it allows the film to maximise profits and allow for sales to be higher as it is available to the public along all platforms which would seem more convenient to the audience then having to go to the cinema the pay more to watch a film.
5) What are the disadvantages to this approach?
The disadvantages to this approach means that the film may make less money in the long term as it allows people the option to buy the DVD which is significantly cheaper then it is to go to the cinema. A Field In England was the first film to be released on all platforms at the same where as other films would usually be released on DVD or online at a later date. A Feild in England done this to maximise profits and generate more publicity to it's film and therefor hopefully allowing them to increase sales and profits.

7) Do you think all films in future will be released across all platforms simultaneously in future? Why? What role will technology play in film distribution?
Later into the future i think that distribution process will still be the same as technology will evolve and distributors will eventually be able to suppress pirated copies online. However the opposite may occur as the number of subscriptions to online services such as Netflix has increased which shows that people would also rather watch a movie at home rather then the cinema.8) Why was Chicken unable to use such a release and distribution strategy when it was made in 2014?
Chicken was unable to do this strategy due to its popularity around the film being extremely low. Chicken only started releasing overseas in January 2017 and gained popularity after it was nominated for awards in movie festivals which led to them being distributed into art house cinemas and later onto a online streaming service which showed art house films.
