1) Type up your feedback in full including the ratings out of five for each category.  
  • Interesting title- I can see it on a film poster or trailer already! obviously, you will need to think about how to make that ain character sympathetic.
  • The tagline is quite long but very interesting from a narrative point of view. In terms of genre, I thought this may be coming of age but tagline helps a little to create horror feel.
  • Some good use of terminology but not enough in terms of specific shots or types of sound. You will definitely need this in your statement of intent. 
  • Church setting/ characteristics work well- classic horror element.
  • Family element adds to this- but one critical element is what you want the audience to hope happens... do we want the character to be saved? Escape from family? Is there a supernatural element or is it all mental health related?
  • In terms of representation, you need a lot more in terms if your plans+use of stereotypes. Also be careful in terms of representations if mental illness + potential offence.

WWW: The concept was really good. Furthermore, the narrative was planned really well. The tagline links with the genre.


EBI: Rehearsal needed. Representation was not included. Title made it seem as if it was a coming of age drama. Not specific enough 

3) Write a paragraph discussing how your presentation will lead into your actual coursework production. Do you need to update your statement of intent? Does your narrative offer enough clarity? Is it appropriate for the audience specified in the brief? Does it fit the genre you are aiming for? Can you add media terminology or theory to your statement of intent now you have reflected on your presentation and seen others?

 --> This presentations will help me in my actually coursework becuase it gives me an outline of how i will actually do my course and how it will be made a reality. i think i need to update my statement of intent because i have changed some parts of my story line. It is still appropiate to my audience and will still fit the pshycographics.

This is because he has not been taught the basic life skills to survive in the type of area he lives in. Furthermore, he is being rejected by his parents; this makes him try and take action of his own life and find people who will take care of him and help him. Another reason, why he is a person of few words is because since a young age he was bullied; you can infer that he did not have a voice to fight back. Also, he was not taught to defend himself. Therefore, he is perceived as someone who is weak and emotional. Adding to this, he did not know himself. This means that he was not able to express himself as a person because his identity was very hard for him to find. Furthermore, he was not taught the simple norms and values of society to function making him not able to be a sociable person.
